How joining works

  1. 1

    Pick a role

    Any of the six below. If two of them sound like you, say so on the form.

  2. 2

    Fill in the form

    Name, age, where you are, and which role. It takes about three minutes.

  3. 3

    We add you to Discord

    That is where the weekly task goes out and where everyone talks.

  4. 4

    Start on the next task

    One small piece of work a week. Certificates for the hours you put in.

The seven roles

You put down which one you want on the form. You can change later, and plenty of people do more than one.

  • new role

    Podcast creator

    Plans, records and edits episodes on the things students are actually dealing with.

    In a week
    Pitch a topic, or help write, record and cut the next episode.
    It suits you if
    You have opinions about audio, or you just want to try. Both are fine.

  • Researcher

    Conducts detailed research on the topics given, and gathers the information used.

    In a week
    Read around the week's topic and write up what you find, with your sources.
    It suits you if
    You like going down a rabbit hole and coming back with something solid.

  • Graphic designer

    Creates the visual designs and aesthetic elements of each topic, plus posters for events.

    In a week
    Turn the week's research into a post for Instagram, or a poster for an event.
    It suits you if
    You already make things in Canva, Figma, Procreate or on paper.

  • Content writer

    Writes the content on the topic given, and elaborates on the research conducted.

    In a week
    Take the research and make it something a fifteen year old will actually read.
    It suits you if
    You can explain a hard thing gently and in plain words.

  • Social media

    Creates promotional reels to be posted onto our Instagram.

    Cut a reel, write the caption, help us reach students we have not reached yet.
    It suits you if
    You know what makes someone stop scrolling.

  • HR specialist

    Supports relationships and collaborations, and coordinates volunteer enrollments.

    In a week
    Look after new volunteers, and keep our partner organisations close.
    It suits you if
    You are the person who remembers to check in on people.

  • Counsellor

    Provides free counselling for people online.

    In a week
    Hold space for someone online who needs to talk. Training and support given.
    It suits you if
    You listen more than you talk, and you know when to pass something on.

What you get

Ready when you are

You have to be eighteen or over. Everything else we will teach you.
